Description
Ferro Sunshine Mixing Flux – Transparent 10-117
Use this mixing flux to lighten and to overprint Ferro Sunshine enamel colors. Can also be used as a coating flux.
Fire approximately 1 – 1.5 minutes at 1380°F – 1400°F. / 749°C – 760°C.
Important Note: Always apply Sunshine Enamels to a piece that has been previously enameled. After application, let dry and then sift a light, dry coat of flux. Do not use this flux with Ferro color Iron Red 17 578.
Can be mixed with other mediums and can also be screen printed or painted. When applied in many thin layers with firing in between, the colors may be more opaque and intense. Applying one thick layer will cause the enamel to crack. Make sure each layer is completely dry before firing.
This product contains lead oxide. Always wear a mask when sifting.
