.999 Fine Silver Shape – Teardrop

These teardrop fine silver shapes are ideal for forming into components for your designs. The stampings are die struck with clean, crisp edges and will require some finishing to smooth edges and polish the surface. Use dapping techniques to create concave or convex designs, use them as foundations for other findings (including bezel cups or flat-bottom prong settings), as a backdrop for wire-wrapping designs, and for personalizing with engraving or design stamps. These stampings are ideal for enameling. When enameling on metal thinner than 20ga., it is important to use a counter-enamel on the back of the piece to prevent distortion or cracking of the enamel on the front surface.

Fine silver, .999% pure, is an ideal foundation for enameling. Pure silver offers a bright white color and is best suited to pieces not exposed to daily wear and tear.
