3M Radial Bristle Discs 220 Grit
Use this grit after 120 grit or equivalent. Remove all traces of 120 grit polishing, then proceed to next grit for a mirror polish. 3M Radial Bristle Discs will give you the best possible finish and polish with a rotary tool. Use 220 grit to remove scratches and imperfections, and to remove oxidation from fine and sterling silver. These work best when stacked at least 4 to a mandrel (6 is ideal). Order 1 screw mandrel for each grit. Stack at least 3 discs per mandrel (6 is maximum) so the bristles sweep in a clockwise direction. Bristle discs last a long time and can be used right down to the nub. See our selection of miniature mandrels to fit your flexible shaft or rotary tool. Mandrels sold separately. Use with 1/8″ or 3/32″ screw mandrel.
